In this article, you'll learn how to find your notebooks, ebooks and EPUB/PDF documents on your Supernote quickly using the search function.

Single-criterion search

Search by file name

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the top menu bar.
  2. Tap Search .
  3. Enter the name of the file you wish to find quickly.
  4. Tap the file in the search results to quickly open and view it.

Search by keyword

  2. Tap Search .
  3. Enter a keyword.
  4. Check the box to the left of the Keyword tag.
  5. Tap the file in the search results to quickly open and view it.

Note: When it comes to searching by file name and keyword, fuzzy searches are supported.  Fuzzy searches help you find relevant files based on incomplete or partially accurate information.

Search by file format

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the top menu bar.
  2. Tap Search .
  3. Check the box to the left of the format of the file you wish to find quickly.
  4. Tap the file in the search results to quickly open and view it.

Search by star

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the top menu bar.
  2. Tap Search .
  3. Check the box to the left of the Star tag.
  4. Tap the file in the search results to quickly open and view it.

Note: A search by file format and star is an exact search. Exact searches return results that match the exact file format you specify or contain the star tag.

Multi-criteria search

A multi-criteria search helps you narrow search results based on specific criteria, such as file format and tag, which serve as filters to quickly and accurately find the notes and documents you look for.

Mix any two or more of the above-mentioned single-criterion search options to get a more precise search result. For example, if you are looking for a PDF document titled Weekly Meeting that contains the keyword: Collaboration, you can do the following:

  1. Enter Collaborate in the search box. You can also enter incomplete spellings, such as Coll, Colla, Collabo.
  2. Check the box to the left of the PDF format.
  3. Check the box to the left of the Keyword tag.

Organize search results

You can organize search results by sorting them by Time, Size or Name in an ascending or descending order. You can also choose how to display them in a view that appeals to you visually by switching between the List View, Small Icon View and Large Icon View.
