Understanding gestures Configure gesture settings

Gestures can boost your Supernote navigation efficiency when used properly. Read this article to find out what useful gestures we have in store for you. 

Understanding gestures

Illustration Gesture Description
Slide your finger down the sidebar Open the sidebar menu
Single-tap anywhere outside the sidebar menu with one finger Close the sidebar menu
Slide your finger up the sidebar Refresh the screen to clear afterimages
Swipe down from the top of the screen Open the top menu bar
Swipe left Go to next page
Swipe right Go to previous page
Single-tap anywhere on the left side of the screen (Only available in Document, except Word). When using this gesture, make sure the corresponding single-tap page turning icon on the toolbar is selected. Go to previous page
Single-tap anywhere on the right side of the screen (Only available in Document, except Word). When using this gesture, make sure the corresponding single-tap page turning icon on the toolbar is selected. Go to next page
Swipe up with one finger from the top half of the screen Return to page before jumping (You can use this gesture after jumping to a specific page via titles, stars, links, overview, table of contents, keywords, bookmarks, annotations, page numbers or searches )
Double-tap the screen with two fingers Display or hide the toolbar to enter or exit full screen mode
Double-tap the top or bottom of the screen with one finger. (Avoid tapping the page number and the file name when trying to hide the page number bar.) Show or hide the page number bar

Configure gesture settings

Only use the gestures that work for your workflow. Any gesture that detracts from your productivity should be disabled.  You can manage your gesture settings by going to the three-dot More menu > Gesture Settings. 

These are the specific gestures you can toggle on/off according to your personal preferences: 

1. Full screen gesture 

2. Page number bar gesture 

3. Gesture for returning to page before jumping

4. Eraser gesture
