The Revamped Digest App
Table of Contents
You've extracted snippets of valuable text as digests from your documents, and now you'd want to be able to effectively organize and manage your digests to unlock their full potential. The revamped Digest app is designed to allow you to do just that and more, ensuring you can put the information and knowledge you've gathered to practical use.
Brand new UI interface
The revamped Digest app features a clean and sleek UI interface where two noticeable additions are the Categories button and the Sources button
, as shown below:
Categories
Add categories for digests
Categories are powerful in that it allows you to organize scattered digests and build meaningful connections between them.
If you've previously created digests on your Supernote, you will find them in the All category as well as the Uncategorized category.
To add a new category, tap New Category at the bottom of the left pane. Follow the onscreen instructions to give it a proper name. If you don't have a specific name at the top of your head right away, rest assured that you can always rename it by tapping
at the top right corner.
In this brand new category you've just added, you can proceed to create new digests in it by tapping to the far right of the category name. On the New Digest screen, use the virtual keyboard to manually enter digest text.
When you feel like a new category is no longer needed, select the specific category in the left pane before tappingand
Delete to delete it. Doing this will also delete all the digests in the category.
Manage digests from the Categories tab
To export, move or delete a digest, long press the specific digest and tap Export,
Move and
Delete on the top function bar respectively to perform the desired action.
To view the details of a specific digest, simply tap it with your pen or finger. On the Details screen, you will find key information about the digest, including the source, when it was updated last time, which category you assigned it to, as well as the author of the source.
After viewing the details of the digest, you could feel inspired and have the urge to write your thoughts down. This is where the Annotations section comes in handy. In this section, you can write your personal ideas, thoughts or comments about the digest through handwriting input or keyboard input. Digests that you add annotations for will have this symbol attached to the digest card.
