Take Notes in Landscape Mode on Supernote Nomad
Table of Contents
There are times when you might need to switch to landscape mode for note-taking to fit more content or improve the visibility of certain elements like graphs and tables in your notes. By utilizing landscape mode, you can expand the available space and create a more comprehensive and visually appealing representation of your notes. In this article, we will work you through how to take notes in landscape mode.
Create a notebook with horizontal templates
- Tap New Note in the sidebar menu.
- Under Type, select Standard or Handwriting Recognition.
- Under Templates, select Horizontal. Once selected, it cannot be changed.
- To view the template in its entirety, rotate the screen to landscape mode. ( Make sure the rotation feature in the top menu bar is enabled. The rotation button turns black when activated.)
- Start writing.
Note: Skipping Step 4 or switching to portrait mode later will result in larger stroke widths for your handwritten text compared to landscape mode. To view your notes completely, you'll need to two-finger swipe left or right in this case.
When you first open your Nomad, you'll notice the rotation feature is automatically enabled. To adjust the settings for this feature, simply swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the rotation button located in the top menu bar.
Replace horizontal templates with custom templates
- Open a notebook with horizontal templates you've created.
- Tap the Templates button on the toolbar.
- On the Templates page, tap All in the top right corner to open a drop-down menu.
- In the menu, tap Customization.
- Select the horizontal or vertical template you want to replace the existing one with.
- Select a page or more than one page.
- Tap Apply as Template.
- You are done.
Note: If you select a vertical template in Step 5, the vertical template will be adapted as a horizontal template to fit the screen. In portrait mode, you will need to two-finger swipe left or right to view the vertical template completely. If you rotate it to landscape mode, you will be able to view it in its entirety automatically.
Copy/Move pages from another notebook
When moving/copying a vertical note page from another notebook to an existing notebook with horizontal templates, the vertical note page will stay vertical.
